2009 Annual Meeting
The Friends of the Shiawassee River invite you to join them for their
Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 16, 2009!
Wrought Iron Grill, Owosso
$10/person, includes dessert buffet

Guest speaker: 
Kevin Frailey of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Environment
“No Child Left Un-Wild”, will focus on encouraging youth and adults to venture outside to foster a better connection with nature. 

Kevin has been involved with natural resources education for near 30 years managing programs at Michigan United Conservation Clubs, Idaho Department of Fish and Game and now, DNNRE. Last year Kevin chaired the North American Conservation Education Conference in Little Rock, Ark and is past president of the Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education.

Several awards will be given out to dedicated volunteers and local businesses that support our conservation activities. 
Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend and participate in board elections as well as hear an update of another great year for the FOSR.  Several awards will be given to outstanding volunteers and local businesses that support the operations and conservation stewardship activities of the organization.  The cost to attend is ten dollars per person and will include a wonderful dessert buffet and coffee from the Wrought Iron Grill.  Cash bar will be available.  RSVPs are recommended and can be made by calling 989-723-9062 or info@shiawasseeriver.org.
