GreenUp, CleanUp!

Saturday, April 30, 2011

Join the Friends of the Shiawassee River, the City of Owosso and Owosso Main Street as we celebrate the River and the environment's connection to the vitality of our downtown!

Volunteers are needed to help remove debris, spruce up the Jim Miner walkway, plant trees in the riparian area, paint and other tasks to make our community a better place!

There will also be an electronic and bulk waste collection. Items accepted can be found here!

The day will begin with the City's official Arbor Day celebration at 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers should meet at 8:30 a.m. along Jerome St. (behind Capitol Bowl) in Owosso. Here is the flier for this event.

Be prepared and complete your waiver beforehand!
