The FOSR are always in need of volunteers to aid them in their efforts to maintain and conserve the Shiawassee River and watershed. Community involvment is vital to the success of the Friends, therefore we encourage all that are willing to come out and help us in our efforts. To volunteer for an event, such as the River Cleanup, Stream Team or stewardship, please fill out the waiver form below and bring it with you to the event or activity of your choice. Remember, minors will need a parent/guardian signature.
We are also in need of volunteers to assist in the day-to-day activities in our office including: answering phones, entering volunteer data and updating the website.
Other volunteer options include stream clearance (removal of large trees and debris that block canoe access), event coordination and photography. Please fill out our volunteer form and return to our office to find a fit that's perfect for you!
