Connect with the community and Go Green with the Friends of the Shiawassee River at this years Spring River Clean Up. Volunteers will take to the river on Saturday, April 25th, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm to remove garbage and debris from the banks of the Shiawassee River and adjacent parks.
Volunteers should meet on Miner's Trail behind Capital Bowl at 9:00 am to participate. The clean up will take place on dry land only so don't worry about getting wet! Bridges and underpasses will be painted with supplies donated by Gilbert True Value Hardware and following the cleanup, lunch and refreshments will be provided by local vendors Roma's Pizza and Backdoor Restaurant to all volunteers. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in this event.
