Tour Our Town

Visit the Friends at Tour Our Town!

The Great Blue Heron, Blanding's Turtle, Small Mouth Bass, and many other critters call the Shiawassee River "home." Some of these river residents can tell us a lot about the health of the river. For a closer look at water quality and wildlife in your community, come see the Friends of the Shiawassee River at the Heritage Bridge (behind the Shiawassee Arts Center) in Downtown Owosso.

What is Tour Our Town?

Participants are invited to pick-up a Passport at the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce or at any of the participating organization's event tables on the day of the event. Get your passport stamped at each organization to register to win great prices. All stamps must be collected in order to be eligible to win, and no more than one prize will be awarded per family.  Tour Our Town is a collaborative celebration of some of Owosso's amazing non-profit, cultural organizations. Each of these organizations will provide exciting, FREE activities and tours geared primarily to youth and families with an overarching theme of the importance and beauty of the amazing attractions that are located right in your own backyard.
