Training for Wood Debris Management

 River Cleanup Training for managing log jams and downed trees in the Shiawassee River – providing safe passage for boats and protecting fish habitat

Join Headwaters Trails for volunteer training on Best Practices for river cleanups as prescribed by the MDNR, chainsaw safety, cabling of logs for bank protection and a review of first aid using the kits we have for use on the river.  

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, FREE PIZZA

If there is rain, we will move to the shelter on the other side of the river  

Attendance required for new volunteers that wish to use a chainsaw on the river with us
