Agriculture Community

Because of the abundance of farmland along the Shiawassee River and connected drains, members of the agriculture community and the organizations that support them can have a major effect on the health of the river. This sub-page shares information of particular interest to landowners, including how farmers are using climate change mitigation strategies like no-till farming, using biofuels, planting native riparian forest buffers, and so much more. Conservation planning contributes mightily to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
